Prayers
"Salat" is the Arabic term for Muslim prayer. It literally comes from the root word "to connect." Therefore, Islam teaches its followers (Muslims) to connect with the One and only God (Allah) five-times a day: Dawn, Noon, Mid-afternoon, Sunset, and Post-Sunset (before going to bed).
In each prayers, there are a lot of praising of Al-Mighty Allah/God. Each movement within the prayer form has Arabic supplication phrases and readings from the Quran. Then asking Allah/God for guidance in this life till the hereafter.
